Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has been associated with retail industry now for over 20 years. He started his career with Aditya Birla group as management trainee in 2003 in Mumbai. Post a sales stint in consumer durable division of Hindalco the flagship company of the group he joined Aditya Birla retail a starting member in 2006 and continued till 2022 in various capacities across the verticals of retail. Being a cross-functional leader he has led teams across all verticals of retail in Category management, Supermarket Operations, Supply Chain & Replenishment and lastly as Hypermarket operations head. His last role was as COO-Hypermarket in Aditya Birla retail where he led the omni growth agenda along with Amazon India as partner. During his stint in Aditya Birla group, he has been recipient of 4 Chairman awards for individual excellence.
He is a Harvard business school alumni where he completed the prestigious senior exec leadership program from 2019-21.
Gurpreet has been with Spar India since May’23 as COO leading Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain function.
