Amir is from Jordan and came to India in March 2020 to start Tru Falafel. After riding out the pandemic in the years 2020 and 2021, he was finally able to open his first outlet and central kitchen in October ’21 in Marol, Andheri East. By focusing on the authenticity of the recipes he grew up with, maintaining the quality and consistency with every order, he has managed to grow Tru Falafel into Mumbai’s best selling Lebanese QSR. Since inception, Tru Falafel has now become a household name for everything Middle Eastern, from Falafels, Shawarmas, various Hummus and Mezzes strategically spread across their 8 outlets across the city.
Majali co-founded the business with his wife, Sandra Pommier, who serves as COO. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the UK and brings an international perspective to building a modern Indian food-service business around authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
Today, Majali is focused on scaling TruFalafel while retaining the authenticity and accessibility that have been central to the brand since its inception. Karak Enterprises was incorporated in 2020 and remains an active private company.
