Tarak Bhattacharya is a seasoned F&B and QSR professional with three decades of experience across food service, restaurant operations and retail. He currently serves as Executive Director & CEO of Mad Over Donuts (MOD), where he has played a key role in scaling the brand from its early operations to 150+ stores across India.

Tarak joined Mad Over Donuts in 2011 as COO and was elevated to Executive Director & CEO in 2019. Under his leadership, MOD has expanded its footprint while broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its operating model.

Before MOD, Tarak headed Operations at Barista Coffee Company, where he spent nearly a decade, and subsequently served as COO of MGH Restaurants, overseeing the Nando’s and Barista businesses across Bangladesh and Nepal. His cross-market experience has given him strong expertise in operations, business planning, people management and adapting F&B concepts to local consumer preferences.

A graduate with a Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Tarak continues to be an active voice in India’s evolving food and restaurant ecosystem, participating in industry discussions on retail, brand building, growth and the future of food businesses.
