Ankit Patel is the Managing Director & CEO of The Belgian Waffle Co., where he has been instrumental in scaling the brand into one of India’s prominent homegrown QSR chains. He brings more than two decades of cross-functional experience spanning consumer businesses, technology and financial services, with expertise in business strategy, business development, strategic alliances and financial management.
Patel joined The Belgian Waffle Co. in 2018 and has focused on building sustainable growth through disciplined expansion, strong unit economics, product consistency and operational excellence. The brand, founded in 2015 and operated by Bloombay Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., has expanded to more than 700 stores across 200+ cities.
Before joining The Belgian Waffle Co., Patel held leadership and investment roles including Head – Corporate Development at Housing.com, Investment Advisor at Asia Growth Capital Advisors, Investment Professional at Peepul Capital and VP – Corporate Finance at Prime Securities. He is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business and has also earned CA and CFA qualifications.
His leadership philosophy centres on long-term brand building, disciplined growth and maintaining consistency across product, process and customer experience.
