Nitin is a key leader at Cothas Coffee Company, the Bengaluru-based coffee business with roots dating back to 1948. A graduate in Industrial Engineering with an MBA, Nitin joined the family business after gaining two years of experience in coffee production in Chicago. He subsequently took on a central role in product development and the company’s expansion strategy.
As part of the second generation of the Cothas Coffee family, Nitin has been instrumental in expanding the brand’s presence in India and overseas. Cothas’ own history describes him as the spearhead of its aggressive expansion, combining his understanding of coffee production with a strong focus on product innovation and market development.
Nitin was inducted into the Cothas Coffee partnership in 1998 and has represented the company in important business and legal matters. The company’s manufacturing and export operations are based in the Jigani industrial area near Bengaluru, with Cothas Coffee listed by the Coffee Board of India as a registered coffee exporter.
