Dr. Sudhir Tamne is a senior food technology, quality and innovation professional with more than two decades of experience in corporate quality, food safety, product development and technical operations. He is associated with Burger King India, where he has played a key role in building and strengthening the brand’s quality, food safety and product innovation framework. His LinkedIn profile notes more than 24 years of experience in corporate quality and food safety across several countries.
A founding member of Burger King India, Dr. Tamne has been instrumental in establishing high standards for food quality and safety while contributing to the development of products tailored to Indian consumer preferences. His expertise in flavours, ingredients, processes and the vendor ecosystem played an important role in the development of Burger King India’s early menu, including its Crispy Veg and Crispy Chicken burgers.
He holds a PhD from UDCT (University Department of Chemical Technology) and has built a strong reputation in food quality, regulatory systems and product development. Over the years, he has also contributed to Burger King India’s clean-label initiatives and supplier quality management, working closely with food and packaging suppliers to maintain international quality standards.
His responsibilities and expertise span quality assurance, food safety, regulatory compliance, technical operations, product innovation, supplier management and new product development. In 2025, he was identified by Washington State University as Senior Vice President for Quality and Innovation at Burger King India, reflecting his leadership across these functions.
