Archita Bandyopadhyay is an architect and Design Manager at MBH Architects, India, where she engages with contemporary retail environments and evolving urban experiences across India and internationally. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Mumbai University and a Master’s degree in History, Theory, and Criticism from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Her early professional experience shaped her understanding of process-driven design thinking and critical inquiry. She later co-founded and served as Design Principal at Studio Liminal Play, a transdisciplinary design practice based in Bangalore.

Alongside practice, Archita has taught design at R.V. College of Architecture, Bangalore, with a focus on culture and the built environment, and has been invited as a design juror at several architecture schools across India. These experiences continue to inform her interest in how design operates across disciplines, scales and contexts. At MBH, her work focuses on developing design thinking and processes within a practice working across global retail environments. Her interests lie in the relationship between design process, context and experience, and in questioning how architecture can respond to the cultural, social and material conditions of a place. Beyond professional practice, she draws inspiration from fiction and textiles, exploring their intersections with spatial narratives, materiality and design.
