Abhik Mitra is the Managing Director – Operations Group at Samara Capital, where he works closely with portfolio-company leadership teams to drive operational excellence, business transformation and accelerated value creation. He joined Samara Capital in April 2023, bringing extensive experience in building, scaling and transforming businesses.
Prior to Samara Capital, Abhik served as Managing Director of Spoton Logistics for over a decade, transforming the company into one of India’s leading road-express logistics businesses. He was also instrumental in turning around CEAT’s Sri Lanka business following an acquisition, helping it achieve a market-leading position with more than 50% market share.
His career spans senior leadership roles across Hindustan Unilever, RPG Group, TNT India, Spoton Logistics and Delhivery. He also served as Managing Director & CEO of Paradise Food Court, where he led operational transformation and expansion of the legacy food brand.
Abhik holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Varanasi and brings a strong track record in operational leadership, business transformation and scaling organisations.
