Chef Michael Swamy is the Founder of Cottagechef Culinaire and a pioneering figure in India’s food media landscape, with nearly three decades of experience as a chef, food stylist, writer, photographer and culinary storyteller. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, London, he has worked with leading hospitality establishments including the Taj Group, Bombay Brasserie in London and Kuwait Airways, while also consulting for hospitality and food-service businesses.
Through Cottagechef Culinaire, Chef Michael combines culinary expertise with food design, photography, media, travel and experiential storytelling. He has conceptualised and managed food shows across television and international channels, while also working with brands, hospitality institutions and educational organisations on culinary experiences, workshops and food media projects.
An accomplished author and photographer, he has authored several acclaimed cookbooks and is a multiple-time Gourmand Award winner. His work also focuses on regional Indian cuisines, sustainability and the intersection of food, culture and travel.
