Dhairyashil Patil is a seasoned distribution professional with over three decades of experience spanning the FMCG and consumer electronics sectors. His career has been built around strengthening distribution networks, driving market reach and championing the interests of India’s distributor community.
He began his career with PepsiCo in 1991, managing distribution in Kolhapur, before moving to Hindustan Lever in 1994, where he handled FMCG distribution. He subsequently managed local distribution for Amul and expanded his expertise into consumer electronics as a super stockist for brands including BPL, Onida and Philips across seven districts.
As the Founder and Director of Vitrak Extended Reach, Patil is focused on strengthening India’s distribution ecosystem and creating solutions that enable distributors to operate more efficiently and sustainably. He is currently also involved in managing distribution for Nirmal Soaps and Healthy Life Jaggery across South Maharashtra.
Patil has held several prominent leadership positions in trade associations, including National President of AICPDF, National Executive Body Member of CAIT, and leadership roles with MCPDA Maharashtra, MCCAI and KCCAI. He has also played an active role in GST advocacy and spearheaded GST Task Force initiatives in Maharashtra.
A strong advocate for traditional trade, Patil has led industry movements addressing predatory pricing, quick-commerce disruption, declining distributor returns and unfair trade practices. His current initiatives include developing a distributor-to-retail channel finance model and advancing GST coordination committees across states.
He is also the concept creator of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for FMCG, aimed at incentivising retailers while enabling brands to gain first-party market insights.
