Sadashiv Nayak is a seasoned business leader with more than three decades of experience spanning retail, FMCG, sales, marketing and business transformation. He was appointed CEO of Future Retail Ltd. in August 2021, following an eight-year stint as CEO of Big Bazaar, where he played a key role in shaping the growth and evolution of the flagship retail business.
Nayak joined the Future Group in 2004 as Head of Operations for the Western Zone, overseeing operations and expansion across formats including Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, Pantaloons and Central. Before joining the group, he held sales and marketing roles at Asian Paints and Hindustan Unilever, including brand management and regional sales responsibilities.
An alumnus of NIT Karnataka, Surathkal, where he earned a degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, Nayak also holds a postgraduate management qualification from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
His leadership experience spans business turnarounds, brand building, category development, omnichannel retail and enterprise transformation. In January 2024, he joined K-12 Lighthouse Learning Group as CEO, where he leads its K-12 school portfolio.
