Sandeep Varaganti is the Chief Executive Officer of JioMart at Reliance Retail, where he leads the growth and evolution of one of India’s prominent digital commerce and omnichannel platforms. He is focused on building JioMart as a trusted, large-scale marketplace that connects consumers with an extensive network of brands, sellers and small and medium businesses.
An experienced business leader with a background in e-commerce, technology and marketplace businesses, Varaganti has previously worked with organisations including Cognizant, Amazon and Prione. His experience spans business scaling, cross-functional leadership, digital commerce and enabling SMBs to participate in the rapidly expanding e-commerce ecosystem.
At JioMart, he has been closely associated with the platform’s transition from a primarily grocery-focused destination into a broader e-commerce marketplace, while advancing its omnichannel capabilities and digital-first customer proposition. He has also championed initiatives such as JioMart on WhatsApp, aimed at making digital commerce more accessible to consumers and businesses across India.
Varaganti holds an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
