Vikrant Batra is the Co-Founder of Café Delhi Heights and a seasoned entrepreneur who has spent more than three decades in the hospitality and food-service industry. He comes from the Batra family’s established catering and banqueting business, where he gained hands-on experience in food, operations, people management and large-scale hospitality.
A graduate of Hindu College, University of Delhi, Batra also completed a Restaurant Management course from the University of California and an MBA from FORE School of Management. He began his entrepreneurial journey with Delhi Heights in 2009 before launching Café Delhi Heights in 2011 with his brother Sharad Batra.
Batra’s vision was to create an all-day, three-generational café where families and friends could enjoy diverse cuisines in a relaxed, informal environment. This differentiated positioning helped Café Delhi Heights establish a strong presence in India’s casual-dining landscape. From its first outlet at Cross Point Mall, Gurugram, the brand has grown into a pan-India chain with 50+ outlets across 17 cities, according to Batra’s recent updates.
Beyond Café Delhi Heights, Batra has been involved in concepts including Dhansoo Café, Juicy Lucy Burgers and Bakehouse Comfort, reflecting his focus on creating differentiated formats within the food-service sector.
Known for his hands-on approach and emphasis on consistency, Batra continues to focus on scaling Café Delhi Heights while retaining its core proposition of comfort food, warmth, accessibility and a sense of belonging.
